The World Health Organization is working on a 60-day plan to restore Gaza’s healthcare system, which has been severely impacted. Additionally, the Israeli military has launched operations against Hamas, leading to significant casualties in Gaza, where over 47,000 people have died since October 7.
UN relief agencies blame the humanitarian crisis on Israeli restrictions and hostilities, while Israel claims no limits exist on aid delivery, accusing Hamas of aid theft. Two upcoming laws from Israel could further restrict UN operations, complicating relief efforts amidst an already dire situation for Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.
