The Windsor at Heathrow is an exclusive private lounge located at London’s Heathrow Airport, designed for VIP travelers such as world leaders, CEOs, and celebrities. For an access fee starting at £3,812 (approximately AU$7,500) per visit, guests can enjoy a tranquil environment away from the airport’s bustle, avoiding queues for security and customs.
Upon arrival, guests are picked up by a driver and taken to a private entrance at Terminal 5, where they are greeted by doormen. The lounge features eight uniquely styled private suites, each adorned with modern and classic British décor and equipped with en suite bathrooms and bomb-proof glass windows for privacy.
Guests can indulge in fine dining curated by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, with a seasonal à la carte menu served directly in the suites. The beverage selection includes prestigious champagnes like Dom Perignon and Krugue. Additional services such as private shopping and instant VAT refunds enhance the experience.
When it’s time to depart, guests are escorted directly to their flights in a black BMW, allowing for a seamless boarding process without mingling with other travelers. The Windsor also serves as an arrival lounge where staff assist guests post-flight, providing meals and personal service until they reach their final destination. Despite the high cost, the lounge has become increasingly popular, prompting plans for expansion.
