In a thrilling overtime matchup in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jake Libernavage scored on a power play, securing a dramatic 4-3 victory for the University of North Dakota (UND) against West Michigan, who recently claimed the Penrose Cup. Sacha Boisvert tied the game late in regulation, while Ben Strinden and Dylan James also contributed goals for UND.
The game featured several lead changes, with West Michigan initially leading 1-0 before UND equalized and then took a 2-1 lead. West Michigan responded with two goals from Ty Henricks to go ahead 3-2. However, Boisvert’s late goal sent the match into overtime, where Libernavage sealed the win.
