Caroline Darian, the daughter of convicted French rapist Dominique Pericott, has lodged a legal complaint alleging that she experienced sexual abuse at the hands of her father over a period extending from 2010 to 2020. This complaint follows her father’s conviction for drugging and raping her mother, Guisére Pericott, for nearly a decade. Dominique Pericott is serving a 20-year prison sentence for these crimes, which involved inviting multiple men to sexually assault his wife while she was unconscious.
Darian, 46, publicly stated her intent to file the complaint as a message to other victims, urging them to persist in seeking justice. She claimed that detailed evidence, including photographs, raised concerns about her own experiences, as she recounted instances of waking up in conditions suggesting she might have been drugged and assaulted. Though Dominique Pericott was convicted of taking indecent images of Darian, he denies any sexual abuse.
Darian criticized the initial investigation for not adequately prioritizing her allegations and expressed the need for a thorough inquiry into the matter. Her lawyer emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive investigation. Conversely, Dominique Pericott’s attorney asserted that the complaint was anticipated, as prior to the trial, state prosecutors had indicated there was insufficient evidence regarding Darian’s allegations to pursue charges against him.
