Miguel “Mike Plant” Andrade, a 44-year-old resident of the Bronx, has spent nearly 15 years transforming the subway into a moving flower shop. Every night, he sells a variety of plants and flowers, including orchids and succulents, on the train, earning up to $400 a night. His transition to this unique role began in 2012 while working in the Flower District, where he started bringing extra plants to the subway, attracting interest from commuters.
