Choosing a hotel in New York City has become slightly easier for Hyatt loyalists with the introduction of Hotel Seville’s Nomad, which has joined the Hyatt Unbound Collection. The hotel, known for its chic and contemporary design within a historic 19th-century building, is located on Madison Avenue, near Madison Square Park and the Empire State Building. General Manager Tomasa Moccia emphasizes the hotel’s blend of timeless elegance and modern luxury, aiming to offer an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors.
Dining plays a crucial role in attracting guests, featuring Scalpetta, a renowned Italian restaurant, along with IL Bar, a new lobby bar serving cocktails and light bites. For a more intimate experience, the hotel’s Speakeasy offers drinks and live music. A refresh of the hotel’s 348 rooms and suites is underway, incorporating a stylish blue and grey palette with vintage furnishings and art.
Managed by GFI Hospitality, known for other notable NYC hotels, Hotel Seville Nomad’s updates include enhanced lobby features and room designs inspired by global iconic spaces. However, this development reflects a loss for Sonesta, which had promoted its acquisition of the James Brand and its hotels as models for future properties. Hotel Seville Nomad is categorized as a World of Hyatt Category 6 hotel, with award availability starting at 21,000 points per night.
