Universal’s latest theme park, the Universal Epic Universe, is set to open in Orlando, Florida, on May 22, 2025. Currently, the park is testing operations with team members, their families, and members of the media. The park will feature a significant attraction with a portal leading visitors into “Five Immersive Worlds,” offering shopping, dining, and various rides and experiences. Celestial Park, described as “The Heart of Universal Epic Universe,” will serve as a central hub with lush gardens and pathways, showcasing intense rides like the Stardust Racer and Constellation Carousel.
The Epic Universe will also include themed areas such as the island of Berk from “How to Train Your Dragon,” the magical world related to the Ministry of Magic, the Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo. A new hotel, the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, is also being developed, providing dedicated access to the park.
The park aims to compete with Disney, which is currently offering promotions and new shows. Both Universal and Disney are bracing for a competitive summer season, with Universal’s Epic Universe expected to enhance their offerings significantly within the Central Florida entertainment landscape. Additionally, Disney World will have all its parks and water parks open simultaneously for the first time since 2019.
