An Australian couple, Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Collin, experienced a distressing flight with Qatar Airways from Melbourne to Venice when a woman collapsed and died after leaving the bathroom. Despite efforts to move her to business class, the crew placed the deceased passenger next to the couple for the remaining four hours of the flight. Initially pleased with extra seats, their situation took a grim turn when they were asked to relocate so the body could be accommodated. After landing, they were instructed to remain seated while medical personnel attended to the situation. The couple expressed their dismay over the lack of support or counseling offered to them following the traumatic incident. A spokesperson for Qatar Airways extended condolences to the deceased’s family and acknowledged the distress caused, stating that they would be reaching out to affected passengers in accordance with their policies.
