Former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding, 43, has been added to the FBI’s list of ten most wanted fugitives for his alleged involvement in a drug cartel trafficking Colombian cocaine from Mexico to the US and Canada. Based in Mexico and allegedly protected by the Sinaloa Cartel, Wedding is accused of masterminding a major drug operation and committing multiple murders, including those of an innocent Canadian couple in 2023. He represented Canada in the 2002 Winter Olympics and has a history of involvement in criminal activities, including an earlier conviction for attempting to purchase cocaine. The FBI now seeks to apprehend him, offering a $10 million reward for information leading to his capture, emphasizing the danger he poses to the community. If convicted, he faces life in prison on charges related to murder and drug trafficking. Wedding’s criminal activities are said to have escalated from earlier investigations in 2004 regarding a marijuana growth operation and have now expanded into a complex drug trafficking network.
